DESCRIPTION:In the style of the previous event the ‘Stopsley Challenge’ we’ll be hosting an informal\, free club event at the Dream Bean Cafe at Offley Hoo Farm. \n🗺️Loops Run as many loops as you like in 3 hours (9am-12pm). Route is on quiet country roads. There won’t be marshals but will be well signposted with yellow arrows. We recommend familiarising yourself with the route before you start. \n✅Big Loop: 5.1 miles – https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/247553334 \n✅Small Loop: 1.45 miles – https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/247556068 \n(Half marathon 2 big loops\, 2 small) \n🚗Parking Free parking available at the venue\, Offley Hoo farm\, just off Kings Walden Rd. \n🍪Refreshments We’ll have a stall with water\, squash\, light snacks/ treats which you can pick up every lap. They’ll also be space to bring your own food/drinks\, please label it! \n❗️We would be grateful if you can support the onsite cafe who are hosting us for free. Nav.:\n\nLU2 7UX\n\n\nFacilities:\n\nSports hall with showers and toilets\nRefreshments are available afterwards – including tea/coffee\, sandwich and cakes.\n\n\nCourse:\n\nThe course is a bit hilly and all off-road.\nTrail shoes are recommended as the trails are fairly stony in parts.\nWe plan on taking everyone to the finish first which is 10-15 mins away where we will do the briefing and people can leave things there.\nThe start is only 5 mins away but is near some houses – so we don’t want people there too long\, we will take everyone down and start straight away.\nThe course is about 8km / 5M\nCourse Maps\n\nMap\nStrava Route\n\n\n\n\nPermit\n\nPermit no 23/042\n\n\nImportant Updates:\n\nAny last minute information will be posted on Instagram or on Facebook\nAll event details may be subject to change right up to the start of the event.
