Striders at ATW Bedford 5&10 Mile Event

On Sunday 25th January 12 Striders took part in the ATW Bedford 5 & 10 Mile event. Six took part in the 5 mile event and six took part in the 10 Mile event.

Once the running was completed, there were many notable achievements.

Unfortunately, the 5 mile event had to be cut short by approximately 400m, due to some overnight flooding. This meant that those who were running at PB pace, were unable to claim their hard earned rewards. In spite of this, Nick B (31:13) claimed second place in the MV45 category and John C (32:47) claimed first place in the MV65 category. Claire O took part in her first race as a Strider. 

In the 10 Mile event there were several PBs and some good placings. Sandy R (1:38:26) ran an all time PB and claimed the WV60 Club Record. Kulwinder A (1:41:25) ran an all time PB. Gez F (1:14:47) claimed second place in the MV55 category. Gary F (1:23:53) ran a MV65 PB and claimed third place in the MV65 category.
