Track Fun In The Snow
On Tuesday 3rd February 12 hardy souls plus one hardy coach, gathered at the weekly Stockwood Park Track Session For All Abilities.
After a 10 minute warm up routine, we were set to do repetitions (reps) of 40 seconds at half marathon pace, 40 seconds at 10km pace, 40 seconds at 5km pace and then 1 minute jog / walk recovery. Each 40 second interval was signified by a whistle and each 1 minute interval was signified by a double blow of the whistle.

10 reps were completed, though coach Kal had his fun with us by extending some 40 second intervals to 50 seconds! Our ‘warm down’ consisted of a 400m jog followed by some stretching of muscle groups.
The weekly track sessions are suitable for all abilities. The group this week had a very wide spread of ability and ages. If you feel that you would like to try out at a session, leave a comment on the Spond post that is published each week, and someone will contact you to arrange a free trial for you. If, after the trial you want to attend regularly, the cost is £3, which is paid through Spond. This money goes to help pay the fee that Active Luton charge the club.
