Stopsley Striders Alf Brown Relay

Good morning Striders,

As part of ‘road map’ of running together again and being able to hold ‘intra’ club events by England Athletics, the committee (with support of Liz Evans) are planning on holding the inaugural Alf Brown Relay on Saturday 24th April.

The idea of the event is to allow Striders to run together in an organised event for the first time in over a year, whilst still remaining within a Covid Secure Environment. We will also be aiming to raise some money for the club charity ‘Action for Children’. You will be able run against other Striders, chat to Striders who are waiting to run or finished their run and be part of an event that will help us to reconnect as Striders.

This event can be done at your own speed; the most important thing is that we start to reconnect as a club again!

If you would like to participate please complete the Google Form here. To help organisation; could this be completed by 8pm on Sat 10th April. If you know of any Striders who would like to take part who are unable to use Google Forms, please get them to contact me via email or you can direct message Thom (on Facebook) on their behalf.

We already have one entrant for the event after I chatted to them in the village this week, so please spread the word! The committee will be discussing further details to this event on Tuesday. If you have anything further you would like the committee to discuss on Tuesday, then please let one of them know ASAP.
